Bixie is proud to announce that the development of Virtue Upload Pro is now in full progress. VirtueUpload Pro is the commercial successor of VirtueUpload. There will also be a new GNU/GPL free version available soon. You can follow the development of VirtueUpload Pro live at beta.bixie.nl.
The main addition of Virtue Pro is the ability to upload multiple files with a product. In addition, the upload system is ajax-based, wich makes refreshing redundant for one or more uploads. Then there is the possibility to add comments to each upload. Furthermore, the entire upload script has been made uptodate with JFile functionality.
Other options:
- Copy of upload to remote ftp server.
- Filetypes Management, authorize or prohibit extensions and icon selection through back-end.
- Several themes, including rounded-corners.
- Upload mandatory option
- Email notification for admins with upload in attachment
We hope to come with the first beta release within a few weeks. This will be tested by a number of test users. At the end of this year or early 2010 we hope to have VirtueUpload Pro ready for release.
