Upgrade from free version to Pro 1 Year, 8 Months ago  
I have installed and tried the free version and wish to purchase and upgrade my site to the full version.

I have already hacked the files etc and just want to know how simple it is to upgrade - is it a case of uninstalling the existing component and installing the new one or will I have to hack additional files etc.

You can upgrade to PRO without much problems.
Just uninstall the existing component and module. Then install the PRO versions. Apply the PRO VirtueMart-hacks and you're all done.
The existing uploads are preserved in your database and FTP-server.

Remember to always make good backup of FTP and DB "just incase" before upgrading any component!
